Doxiadis Associates has been internationally recognized for the quality of its work, its consulting principles and the philosophy of Ekistics on which its planning work is based.  The international community, in appreciation and acknowledgement of its contribution and achievements to the advancement of the state of the art of planning human settlements awarded to Doxiadis Associates a number of prestigious prizes.

The International Union of Architects awarded to Doxiadis Associates and its founder, C.A. Doxiadis, the “Sir Patrick Abercrombie” prize.  The text accompanying this award stated that “This team of architects, economists, planners and social programmers were and continue to be responsible for a number of important achievements, which gave solutions to urgent planning problems, particularly in developing countries”.  Other honorary distinctions are the “Cali de Oro” prize of the society of Mexican Architects and the “Award of Excellence” of the Industrial Designers’ Society of America.  C.A. Doxiadis was awarded the “Aspen” prize by the Aspen Institute of Humanistic Studies in USA, because, by “developing the philosophy of human settlements, he planned the environment of over ten million people and thereby lifted man’s hopes, aspiration and spirit”

More recently, Doxiadis Associates received the “Arab Prestige Trophy” the “Phoenicia International Trophy” and the “Certificate of Accomplishment” for the Urban Planning of DHA City Karachi, as the “First Planned Sustainable Green City of Pakistan” from the ”Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) based on Washington DC, USA.
