Through its affiliate company “Metrotech”, Doxiadis Associates participated as Consultant to the Special Department of Public Works/Olympic Projects 2004 of the Ministry of
Environment, Planning and Public Works, for the coordination and management of the Olympic Athletic facilities implementation in the following venues:
1.Canoe and Kayak Olympic Centre at Shinias in Marathon;
2.Olympic Centre for Slalom at Ellenikon; 3.Olympic Centre for Sailing in Ag. Kosmas; 4.Olympic Center for Beach Volley, Boxing and
Wrestling in Faleron;
5.Olympic Installations of Baseball, Softball, Hokey, Badminton and archery at Ellenikon; and 6.Modern Pentathlon Olympic Center at Goudi, Athens.
Services comprised: general management duties; review of planning and design studies; monitoring and control of time schedules of all studies and construction works; quality control assurance and implementation; organization and support for handing over procedures from contractors; and final delivery to the Athens 2004 Olympic Committee for Test Events and for Olympic use.
