Elaboration of a master plan and design studies for the Al Buhairah Resort Centre, to be realised on an area of 28 hectares, situated in a prominent location slopping down towards the artificial Abha Lake, 5 km from the town of Abha. The final master plan pointed towards an optimum solution regarding: (a) design parameters (privacy, open visual vistas, accessibility of units etc.); (b) functionality of the development; and (c) economic considerations. This lakeside resort includes a 4 star Hotel, 19 VIP villas, 125 villas, 18 apartment buildings, a shopping centre, an administration building, a mosque, staff houses, an amusement park, and picnic areas. Services provided by the consultant, included site planning and layout plans, architectural and engineering studies, infrastructure networks (including solid and liquid waste management), landscaping and community facilities design, specifications, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
