Planning and engineering services for the implementation of Tharthar satellite city, a New Town of 150,000 inhabitants, to be constructed on a 6,000 ha site, overlooking the Tharthar Lake. Engineering services included all infrastructure networks, environmental impact assessment, proposals for the waste collection and management, and utilities design. During the carrying out of the project a staff training programme was implemented for all levels of the Ministry's professional staff.
