Architectural, structural and electromechanical studies, as well as tender document preparation for the conversion of the, 500 sq.m. "Kapodistriako Orphanage of Aegina", to a modern Museum. Following a detailed documentation study, Doxiadis Associates developed designs for the restoration of the external façade of the building to its original form. They also studied the internal arrangements required to house the functions of a museum, namely, exhibition areas and public amenities (shops, coffee shop), without abolishing changes of the building connected to Greek national history (i.e. function of the building as a criminal but also political prison, for more than 105 years).
