This project concerns the modification of an existing building to meet the concept, specifications and design criteria of the international retail store chain IKEA. The building of a total area of about 24,000 m2 is a one-storey building located on a site of 117,000 m2. It includes an exhibition/sales area (4,200 m2), sales areas (5,000 m2), staff offices, restaurants, shopping mall, and other auxiliary spaces, such as mechanical rooms, goods receiving area, etc. An open air parking for about 1,800 customer’s cars and 200 staff cars, as well as a large and convenient unloading area in the backside of the building complement the installation. In parallel with project management services, a full range of studies (architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical), tender documents, issuance of building licence, as well as construction management services are included in the technical support provided to the Client (Housemarket S.A.)
